1. Which Codes apply in Haslet?: The City of Haslet is under the 2009 International Building, Residential, Energy Conservation, Plumbing, Fuel Gas, Fire, and Mechanical Codes, and the 2011 National Electrical Code.

2. Do I have to have a permit to remove a tree?: Yes, the City of Haslet requires a permit to remove a protected tree. For a list of protected trees, please contact the Building Inspections Department.

3. Do I need a permit to replace a water heater?: Yes, water heaters require a permit and must meet current codes.

1. Do I need a permit to hold a garage sale?: No you do not. However, only 3 offsite signs and 1 onsite sign for a total of 4 signs are allowed for no more than 4 consecutive days. SIgns may not be larger than 12 square feet and must have garage sale location address

2. How do I request porch pickup of household hazardous waste and/or e-waste?: Complete the Request for Porch Pickup Form by following this link. Republic Services will mail you an instruction letter that contains labels for items to be picked up as well as packaging instructions and the scheduled pickup date.
