[ARCHIVED] Christmas in the Park Event moved inside to Haslet Community Center on Saturday, Dec. 3rd

Christmas in the Park 2016

Due to reports of inclement weather in the area on Saturday, December 3, 2016, the Haslet Christmas in the Park event has been moved from Gammill Park to the Haslet Community Center, 105 Main St., Haslet.

The event will begin at 3 p.m. as scheduled. Activities and entertainment include cookie decorating from 3 pm to 4 pm; a puppet show from 4 pm to 4:45 pm; Scrooge story time from 4:45 pm to 5:30 pm, strolling entertainers, and face painting from 3 pm to 7 pm.   Hot chocolate will be served from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.  Santa Claus will arrive at 5:30 p.m. and be available to visit and pose for pictures with children.  Christmas lights in the park will still be available for viewing.

As a result of the event being moved inside, students from the Northwest Independent School District will not be performing.  The snow slide has been cancelled.  There will not be vendors.  Vendor fees will be refunded.

This family fun event is sure to be a crowd pleaser and we certainly hope everyone will come out for the festive activities.  Please contact the City of Haslet at 817-439-5931 ext. 100 with any questions or concerns regarding this event.
