How much is admission to the Fireworks Celebration event?
This event is FREE!
Where and how much is parking?
Event Parking must be accessed from Hwy 156 and parking is FREE! No parking along Hwy 156
Vendors open at 6pm There will be plenty of vendor booths for you and your family to enjoy throughout the event! Vendors will be accepting both cash and credit cards!
Can I bring a small tent for shade?
Tents are NOT allowed.
Where is handicapped parking?
Handicapped parking is located on 1st Street. The Library parking lot is also available.
How much are the kid's activities?
All of the kid's activities are FREE. Available activities are: Train ride, bounce houses, rock climbing and foam pit! Watch for give-a-ways from the stage!
Are dogs allowed at the event?
Due to the typically extreme heat and excessively loud noises, pets are strongly discouraged.
Are coolers allowed?
Coolers are allowed, however, alcoholic beverages and glass containers are NOT! Coolers are subject to inspection.
Where can we set up our chairs and blankets?
The soccer fields in front of the Veterans Memorial Garden is the primary seating area, however, all areas of Community Park & Gammill Park will offer wonderful seating areas for the event. The fireworks will be launched near Nance Field, so please keep that in mind when choosing your viewing spot. Sidewalks and ramps must remain clear. Please be courteous and reserve only the space you need. Don’t forget your sunscreen & bug spray!
What happens after the event?
ALL TRAFFIC MUST EXIT, one way only - from the event parking to the SOUTH ONLY onto Hwy 156. Anything left behind at the end of the event will be thrown away! Please take ALL OF YOUR BELONGINGS with you when you leave.
Are personal fireworks allowed?
The use of personal fireworks are PROHIBITED within Haslet City limits.
What happens if it rains or there is questionable weather?
Staff is evaluating the weather and will have a contingency plan if the weather calls for it. Announcements will be made through https://haslet.org/342/July-4th and Haslet Parks Facebook

The City of Haslet Parks & Recreation Board & City Council are proud to present the 20th Annual Independence Day Celebration on Friday, June 30, 2023. This fun-filled family event is a community favorite so please come on out to Haslet Community Park & find your spot for the Fireworks! Vendors open at 6pm, Fireworks start just after dark. Bring your own chairs, blankets & bug spray! Just a reminder that no alcoholic beverages, glass containers, or pets are permitted. Call 817-439-5931 ext. 100 with any questions.
